Florida State Volleyball

The Florida State University (FSU) volleyball team, also known as the Florida State Seminoles, is a collegiate volleyball program that competes in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I. The team is part of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and plays its home games at Tully Gymnasium in Tallahassee, Florida. With a rich history of competitive volleyball, the Seminoles have established themselves as a formidable force in the NCAA, consistently ranking among the top teams in the country.

The Florida State volleyball program was established in 1972, and since its inception, the team has experienced significant growth and success. In 2011, the Seminoles reached the Final Four for the first time in program history, ultimately finishing as national runners-up.

Dr. Cecile Reynaud, who coached the team for 25 years, is the winningest coach in program history, with a record of 635-326. Chris Poole, who took over as head coach in 2008, has led the team to several NCAA Tournament appearances, including the 2011 Final Four run. Poole’s coaching philosophy emphasizes the importance of teamwork, discipline, and mental toughness, which has contributed to the team’s success on the court.
