Reference List

The reference list, also known as the bibliography, is an alphabetized list of all sources cited in the paper. Each entry includes the author’s name, publication year, title of the source, and publication information, formatted according to the type of source (book, journal article, website, etc.). The reference list provides the reader with enough detail to locate and retrieve the original source.

For sources with no author, the title is used in the in-text citation and in the reference list entry. If the publication date is not available, "n.d." (no date) is used. APA style also covers how to cite personal communications, such as emails and interviews, though these are not included in the reference list.
